The best online casinos in our lobby, ranked

"Best" is a slippery word in this business. A casino that is perfect for someone who spins slots for twenty minutes on the train is a poor fit for someone who wants a blackjack table and a football coupon open at the same time. So rather than crown one winner and stop, this page ranks all six casinos we cover and tells you who each one is really for.

The short version is below. The long version, with the reasoning, follows.

How we put the ranking together

We open accounts, make deposits, claim the welcome offers with the published codes, play through a chunk of the lobby on phone and desktop, and ask for withdrawals. Then we score five things:

The scores are ours, not an average of anonymous star ratings. They will move if the casinos change.

1. CasinoWinner: the biggest match in the group

CasinoWinner sits at the top because nothing else here matches a 300% first deposit bonus with code WIN300. If you deposit with the plan of playing slots for a week rather than an evening, that multiplier gives you far more spins to work with. The lobby is broad, the live section is busy in the evenings, and the app installs straight from the site.

The catch is the same as with any large match: a bigger bonus balance means more wagering to clear before it turns into withdrawable cash. Read our wagering guide before you go big. Full details in the CasinoWinner review.

2. ZeSlots: built for slot players

ZeSlots gives you 250% with ZESLOTS250 and a lobby that puts reels first. Filters for new releases, bonus-buy titles and jackpots make it quick to find something to play rather than scrolling for five minutes. If you mostly play slots and want a generous match without the full 300%, this is where we would start. The ZeSlots review has the full picture.

3. YourWin24: casino and sportsbook on one login

YourWin24 matches the ZeSlots offer at 250% with code YOUR250, and adds something none of the other five reviews focus on: a full sportsbook next to the casino. One balance, one app, football on Saturday and roulette on Sunday. If you bet on sport at all, this is the obvious pick. See our sports betting guide and the YourWin24 review.

4. CasinoPurple: the calm all-rounder

A 100% match with PURPLE100 is smaller on paper, but a 100% bonus is also the easiest kind to clear, and CasinoPurple is the tidiest lobby in the group. Live tables, crash games and slots are all a tap away without the visual noise. Good for players who want a straightforward casino and a bonus they have a realistic chance of turning into cash. Our CasinoPurple review explains why it keeps a high score despite the smaller headline.

5. LuckySlotPlay: try it with no deposit

LuckySlotPlay does not ask for money upfront. Sign up, enter LUCK5, and you get €5 free, no deposit needed. Five euros will not change your life, but it is a genuine way to test a casino's games, app and cashier before you trust it with your own money. That alone earns it a place on this list. More in the LuckySlotPlay review.

6. Cas2Bet: no-fuss doubling

Cas2Bet gives you 100% with CAS100. There is nothing wrong with it: the lobby covers slots, live dealer games and crash titles, the app installs from the site, and the code works the way it says. It ranks last only because its sister sites either give more (the 250% and 300% matches) or ask less (LuckySlotPlay's free €5). If you like a simpler casino and a modest match, it is a sound choice. Read the Cas2Bet review.

Which one should you pick?

• You play slots and want the most bonus money: CasinoWinner, then ZeSlots.
• You bet on football, tennis or anything with a fixture list: YourWin24.
• You want an easy bonus to clear and a clean lobby: CasinoPurple or Cas2Bet.
• You want to try before you deposit: LuckySlotPlay.
• You cannot decide between two: our head-to-head comparisons put them side by side.

What every one of these casinos has in common

Because the six sites belong to the same group, a few things are the same everywhere. Each has an app for iPhone and Android that installs directly from the website, no store needed, covered in our casino apps guide. Each has thousands of slots and crash games, and five of them add live dealer tables. Each shows the bonus terms in its promotions section and in the cashier. And each has deposit limits and time-out tools in the account area, which we cover in our responsible gambling guide.

What differs is the welcome offer, the look of the lobby and, in YourWin24's case, the sportsbook. That is really what you are choosing between.

Three mistakes we see new players make

1. Depositing before reading the bonus terms. A 300% match is brilliant if you were planning to play through it anyway, and frustrating if you wanted to withdraw after one lucky spin. Our guide to claiming a bonus walks through what to check.
2. Forgetting the code. Each casino needs its code entered at sign-up or in the cashier. No code, no bonus, and support cannot always add it afterwards.
3. Chasing the biggest number. The best bonus is the one that fits how you play. If you only ever deposit small amounts for a quick session, a 100% match you can clear is worth more than a 300% match you abandon.
